My Artistic Journey: Artist Talk with Gary Barnett and Joanne Kells from the GNAAA

Join us for an inspiring night at the Museum with local artists and active members of the Greater Napanee & Area Arts Association: Gary Barnett and Joanne Kells, as we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the GNAAA!

Joanne, who always aspired to be a professional artist, found her confidence when she moved to Napanee, speaking her dream out loud. Taking courses and seeking mentorship, she honed her skills and gained confidence.

Gary Barnett, a graphic designer since the mid-1970s, ventured into abstract painting in the early 1980s. Drawing inspiration from contemporary art, he developed a unique abstract style rooted in chemistry and energy.

Hear their captivating stories of artistic evolution in a night not to be missed.

This presentation is in conjunction with the GNAAA juried exhibition “Coming Home” on display at the Museum from May 3- May 25, 2024.

Time: 7PM (doors open at 6:30PM)

Cost: $3/person
