Museum Kids: Watercolour and Salt

Calling all young artists for a splash-tastic adventure in watercolor wonderland! Dive into the magical world of painting with watercolors and salt in our exciting children’s workshop. Watch as the salt works its magic, absorbing moisture from the paint to create fascinating textures and patterns that will make your artwork come alive! From vibrant splashes to whimsical designs, discover how this playful technique adds depth and visual charm to your creations. Let your imagination run wild as we explore the endless possibilities of salt and watercolor together!

Cost: FREE!

Time: 1:30AM-2:30PM

Ages: 4+  No pre-registration is required. However, once the event reaches capacity and/or supplies run out, the event will be closed.

About the Artist: 

Hillary Werth is a trans non-binary mixed media artist. Using various mediums, their creations are the result of emotions pouring out, transcending from personal experiences and endeavors. This allows Hillary to achieve patterned layers of balance and composition.

Monday – Saturday: 10am – 5pm

*closed on holiday weekend Saturdays and Mondays

Monday – Friday: 10am – 12pm* & 1 – 4pm

*closed from 12 –  1pm

Tuesday – Thursday, 1 – 4pm in July & August

Labour Day Weekend Hours

Please note that the Museum & Archives will be closed from Saturday, September 2nd - Monday, September 4th for the Labour Day long weekend.

Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, September 5th.
