Education Outside the Clasroom

It’s those two little words that students always love to hear… “Field Trip”! Teachers, we’d love to host your class for a fun and educational visit to the Museum of Lennox & Addington.

Curriculum Connections

Inquiry based learning is the foundation of all school programs developed and offered at the Museum of Lennox & Addington. We value the link between fun and education to create engaging programs. All of our programs strive to make learning more meaningful for students. 

Things to know

For: All grades
Cost: Schools within Lennox & Addington County can participate in education programs free of charge.  

Schools outside of L & A County:

$3.00 per student, chaperones are free
(cash, credit and cheques are all accepted)

We are happy to work with you to create a customized program. High school  programs are available upon request to fit with your study topic.

  • Please book your school visit at least 3-weeks prior to the intended field trip date
  • Students need to be supervised at all times at minimum ratio of 1:8
  • Indoor programs require indoor shoes
  • Maximum one class per booking
  • There is no scheduled snack time during the program and outside food or drinks are not allowed (unless for health reasons)
  • Adult participation is required. Let’s have fun!

Monday – Saturday: 10am–5pm

*closed on holiday weekend Saturdays and Mondays

Macpherson House & Park hours

Tuesday – Thursday, 1 – 4pm in July & August

Archives Hours

Monday – Friday: 10am – 12pm*, 1pm –4pm

*closed from 12pm –  1pm

Adults (ages 13+): $3
Children (ages 12 and under): free

Labour Day Weekend Hours

Please note that the Museum & Archives will be closed from Saturday, September 2nd - Monday, September 4th for the Labour Day long weekend.

Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, September 5th.
