Curious Roots

Creative Explorations of Communities

Curious Roots: Creative Explorations of Communities is a brand-new series of free workshops offered by the Museum of Lennox & Addington through the Government of Ontario’s 2026–27 Seniors Community Grant Program.

Designed for adults aged 55+, these welcoming, hands-on workshops bring people together to learn new creative skills while discovering the stories that have shaped our community. Participants will explore the history of the community through photographs, videos, newspaper articles, and other fascinating sources, using these discoveries to build connections and inspire conversation.

More than just art classes, Curious Roots is about building connections. Through shared creative experiences and conversations, the program aims to reduce social isolation, foster new friendships, and strengthen connections between seniors, local history, and the community.
