Genealogy Club, BYOB "Bring Your Own Brick Wall"

Join us for our Genealogy Club! Are you a beginner working on your family tree and looking for guidance or a grizzled veteran genealogist looking for someone who wants to “talk genealogy” and share tips? Then this club is for you! From learning how to use archival resources to chatting with staff, volunteers and other attendees about challenges in your research-the Genealogy Club has you covered!

Things to Keep in Mind:
  • All levels of genealogy research experience are welcome
  • Meetings are FREE*
  • Pre-registration is required before each meeting for planning and contacting purposes
  • Recommended for adults and seniors

*Please note that as of April 1, 2025, attendees must purchase a Genealogy Club membership to participate in future meetings at no cost.
 
A Genealogy Club membership costs just $20 annually. Your membership will be up for renewal one year after your date of purchase. Your membership will cover the cost of all meetings for the year. You can purchase your memberhip in person at the Museum, or online by clicking the button below. If purchasing online, your card will be ready for you when you visit the Archives!

Join us for a practical, hands‑on introduction to locating Ontario land records using FamilySearch.

Museum hours

Monday – Saturday: 10am – 5pm

*closed on holiday weekend Saturdays and Mondays

Archives hours

Monday – Friday: 10am – 12pm* & 1 – 4pm

*closed from 12 –  1pm 

Macpherson House & Park hours

Tuesday – Thursday, 1 – 4pm in July & August

Labour Day Weekend Hours

Please note that the Museum & Archives will be closed from Saturday, August 30th - Monday, September 1st for the Labour Day long weekend.

Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, September 2nd, however vault retrieval from the Archives will not be available until Wednesday, September 3rd. Thank you for understanding!
